As many of you know there is less than a month left until Apex 2014, so I’ve added a countdown timer to the top of the main site. SSF2 v0.9b gameplay will be live-streamed from the event January 17th-19th, so save the date! In the meantime keep an eye open for additional news before the event…
Here’s a little treat for you guys – ScrewAttack has recently released its latest episode in the DEATH BATTLE! series featuring our Fox sprites from SSF2! (With our permission of course!) Finally after a long wait, it’s time for some SSF2 news!
We are officially announcing today that SSF2 v0.9b will be unveiled at the upcoming Apex 2014 this January!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Apex, it is essentially one of the world’s largest fighting game tournaments that features the Super Smash Bros. series. The event will be taking place from January 17th-19th 2014 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and we will be live-streaming v0.9b gameplay directly from our booth at the event! Like last year we’ll be holding prize raffles over the live-stream for our at-home viewers, and if you are able to physically make it to the event you get to play the update before its official release!
For those of you curious about what type of content will be in v0.9b, you should already know that there will be all sorts of aesthetic upgrades, in addition to major gameplay improvements. You can also expect some additions to the character roster, and expanding some of the existing gameplay modes. I won’t be going into details now, but expect to hear bits and pieces of information here and there as we get closer to the event.
More information to be released soon throughout the next several weeks!
