Merry Christmas from MG!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays so far! As promised, I bring you the gift of update news. We made a lot of progress this week, and though we weren’t able to make a Christmas release I finally have a due date for the next demo release! So the release date and time for SSF2 version v0.7 is:

New Years Day @ Noon EST

So you can relax and enjoy your holidays knowing a confirmed date and time for v0.7. Enjoy the rest of the year, and the next time I post a news update it’ll be 2011! 🙂

Happy Holidays!! 🙂

It has been awhile since I updated, so I figured I’d let everyone in on the progress of SSF2 v0.7. We have actually made a LOT of progress in the past few weeks, knocking out more than 90% of the content and features that needed to be added, as well as taking care of nearly every bug. As much I would like to promise an update by Christmas, we are behind a bit too much for me to make that guarantee. The good news on the other hand, is that I can officially say that the update IS approaching. Will it be by Christmas? New Year’s? I can’t say for sure. But I’ll make another news post by the 25th with another status update. So be on the lookout for more information coming soon!

I hope everyone who celebrates it has a great Thanksgiving! I’ve uploaded a new piece of music for you guys called Virulent Force, so be sure to head over to the Music section to check it out!

As for SSF2, progress is still inching along. If things go as planned we could be looking at a new demo release before the new year. I think the release of a new SSF2 demo would make a great holiday gift, wouldn’t you agree? So thanks everyone for your patience so far, I will be announcing a release date for the demo during the month of December as soon as I can.

Hey guys, I’d like to quickly draw everyone’s attention to a couple of my latest affiliates:

– Saturn Valley Online
– Super Marathon Bros.

I urge all of you Earthbound fans to check out SVO, which is an MMORPG based on the Earthbound series. It’s still in its demo stages but it still seems pretty cool.

Super Marathon Bros. is a new site aimed to raise money for charity through streaming live game marathons. I think that’s a pretty cool idea for a website, and they are doing a big marathon for Thanksgiving so check it out and see what you think!

————————

And of course I’m sure all of you want to hear some SSF2 news as well so I’ll let you in on a little bit of the demo’s progress. The current goal is to essentially finish adding/correcting all necessary features by the end of the month. Nearly all of the content itself is done, but there are a lot functionalities that need to be taken care of. Unfortunately it’s taking longer than originally planned, but the progress is at least getting somewhere which is better than nothing. I will be posting more information this month as further progress is made.

Happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates it, and be sure to have a fun and safe night if you are going Trick-or-Treating tonight! 😉

As promised, here is another screenshot update from v0.7 for you guys:

It’s Jungle Hijinx!

Use the barrel to recover!

Status on v0.7:

Although progress seems to be only inching along, we’re getting closer and closer to finishing every week. There are quite a few features that still need to be added and some balancing that needs to be done, but it’s getting there. I still don’t have a due date for the next update, but with Thanksgiving approaching fast I want to try and get this done soon so you can have the whole holiday season to enjoy v0.7. So expect more information throughout the month of November on progress. Unfortunately screenshot updates will probably have to stop so I don’t spoil too much, but I will make more news posts than October so don’t fret.
