I know this is going to sound a bit sudden, but I just received an email today stating Microsoft raised the prices on their licensing terms for some of their server editions. Unfortunately one of the editions I’m using right now, so my web host is significantly increasing the fee on the site unless I switch editions :>_<: Please note that this OS change will not affect the quality of the web site in any way.

I’m simply switching the OS, all the other specs will remain the same. Though I do need to move everything again so it will take about a day or two to do so.

Further information will be provided after I schedule a date to reinstall the OS

For those of you who still don’t understand, in simpler terms I basically need to take everything down temporarily so my web host can install an operating system that aren’t affected by these new fees Microsoft put out. Unfortunately this will affect SSF2 production a bit and may push back release date a bit more, but even so I’ll just have to multi-task for now until the switch is done.

I added 3 styles of embroidered jackets to the MG Shop today! 🙂 The MG emblem is stitched rather than inked onto the jackets, so yes they are quality jackets you are getting for the price. And just in time for the competition end as well. 😉

Thank you to all those who participated for helping successfuly make this the first official MG Contest in the history of the MG! There were a lot of really good entries so it was a little bit difficult to have to choose the best ones, but in the end I think the judging worked out well. I plan on having a different contest later on in the year, so stay tuned for further updates related to that.
(Also, for those of you who placed 6th+ in this competition can email me if you would like to know your exact placement)

As for SSF2, I am getting very close to the completion of v0.6. Unfortunately I cannot estimate an accurate due date yet, although I can at least take an educated guess and say that I should be finished some time during April. I will post another news update when I come up with a more accurate release date. In the meantime, just be aware that an update is indeed approaching! 😉

The judging process will now begin for the Orchestration competition!!

I, along with several other judges who I know personally, will be rating the submissions based on originality, technique, listening experience, and the overall amount of creativity around the given theme. Please note that just because your instrument samples sound best doesn’t mean you will automatically win!! Other things are taken into account as well, so in the end may the most creative win! I will post updates every so often to keep you updated, and I hope to have the final results within the next two weeks.

Accepted Contestants are listed here:

(You may want to check this page to make sure I didn’t miss your submission.)

Also don’t worry I did not forget about the store additions, there is indeed some new content coming before the judging is over with so that there will be even more goods to choose from. 😉

SSF2 v0.6 Demo Info:

As stated awhile ago I said I’d post some info on the next demo around this time. So don’t worry, the game is still in progress of course, but since this demo will incorporate a lot more changes than the previous demos, a lot more time was required, especially with college obligations to take care of. At my current rate I expect to complete the next update in a matter of weeks. As soon as it looks like I’m almost done I will give a more accurate due date.

Please stay tuned for more!
