Mark your calendars – the Kickstarter campaign for our new platform fighter Fraymakers will launch TOMORROW on Wednesday, November 18th at 11am EST!
Count down with us at: fraymakers.com
Now this is where you all come in – in order to make this project a success the first 48 hours are crucial. That means if you like what you see once we’re live, the best way to ensure the campaign’s success is to back the project as early as possible. It’s been shown that the success of a crowd-funding project is strongly correlated to how much support it receives from the get-go. That means the faster we hit our base goal, the better the outcome.
Not in a financial position where you can help fund Fraymakers? No worries! Whether you back or not, we’re asking everyone to please share our campaign with as many of your friends and family as possible once it goes live. Tell your friends to tell their friends and family too! Spreading the word is just as important as backing, as it helps us reach the widest possible audience in a way that we can’t do on our own.
At any rate, we hope you’re as excited as we are for the unveiling of McLeodGaming’s most ambitious game to date. We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes working on something that we believe will stand the test of time in the platform fighter genre. So fasten your seat belts, we’re gonna hit the ground running!
See you soon!
This just in – we’re revealing the name of our new platform fighter! Get ready to duke it out in Fraymakers, coming to Kickstarter next month!
What kind of game is Fraymakers, you ask? All we’ll say for now is that it runs in our own brand new custom engine at a glorious 60 frames per second. We’re not quite ready to spoil the rest just yet, but make sure to stick with us for more info soon, including the official Kickstarter launch date!

Talk to you soon!
You may have already noticed the banner on the forums today stating that the forums will be closed on April 30th. Sadly the news is true (and no, it’s unrelated to coronavirus). Unfortunately the software that the forums run on is no longer healthily maintained, and it hasn’t been for some time. In the interest of user safety and reducing the amount of maintenance required to keep them online, the executive decision has been made that it’s time to say goodbye to the beloved MG forums at the end of April. As much as it pains us to have to do this, activity on the forums was already at an all-time low with the evolution of other social media platforms like Discord, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. We encourage you to like/follow/subscribe to MG on our other social platforms in order to keep up with the community.
Rest assured, as far as everything else is concerned it will be business as usual at McLeodGaming moving forward!
And don’t forget that we have an official Discord:
https://discord.gg/mcleodgaming
We plan to convert all the forum content into a read-only format for preservation purposes. This may take some time so it may not be available immediately after closing, but in the interim the forums will be put into maintenance mode until the conversion is completed. (Who knows, while we’re at it maybe we’ll also revive a read-only archive of the original MG forum archives for nostalgia?)
Not in the immediate future, but we’ll see. The forums were not nearly as heavily used as our other social accounts, so replacing them may not be worth the time and effort to manage them. However as MG continues to grow and our needs change, there may be other ways to connect with fellow MG fans introduced some day.
In the meantime please savor these last few weeks of forum activity. The MG Forums had a truly good run (12 years to be exact, nearly 15 if you count the OG forums!), so let’s take this time to celebrate their legacy!
We’re celebrating the two-year mango-versary of Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody! with another hefty discount! If you still don’t own a copy yet, now is an opportune time to hop onboard!

And that’s not all – we’ve also updated the local multiplayer support for better compatibility with Steam’s new feature called Remote Play Together. In case you’re not familiar, Remote Play Together allows you to play local co-op games with friends over the internet. So we took the opportunity to implement a second multiplayer setting called “Pick Up” mode. Our existing “Three Player” mode required that you have three participants, since each slot was locked to a particular character. However in Pick Up mode you only need at least two players to get your multiplayer fix (you can have up to 9 total if you have 8 gamepads + 1 keyboard!)
The way Pick Up mode works in Yeah Jam Fury is that only one player has control over all three characters at a time. But an inactive can forcefully swap in a character to fully take over! This allows you to not only involve more players, but also makes those trickier levels easier to hand off to a more capable player. Additionally the first player to press an input during a level will start with control by default, so you don’t have to worry about player 1 getting stuck if you’re playing a single-character challenge!
So how about it? Grab a friend today and go fight for that mango to earn your crown!
The MG Store just received a refresh just in time for the holiday season! All of the products across the board have been updated with the newer MG branding, not to mention a few new products and styles have been added as well.
